CatholicAuctionsOnline is an online auction site much like eBay. However, CatholicAuctionsOnline only services non-profit Catholic organizations in selling items as a fund raising opportunity. The Catholic organization collects items through donations, etc., lists them on the CatholicAuctionsOnline website for sale.
What are the advantages of selling through CatholicAuctionsOnline over actual auction events?
- On site auctions have a limited buyer base. Only those persons attending the event usually get to bid on items. With CatholicAuctionsOnline and publicity to your community, the buyer base explodes!
- Overhead is minimized.
- Annual auction event planning is significantly altered.
- Volunteer efforts can be better utilized.
- Storage issues become minimal. If an organization has an annual or semi-annual auction event, they must store items that are donated. Sometimes items are donated almost a year before the event. Then, if accepted, they must be stored until the auction. Storage can be an issue.

What is this "Buy Out" option?
A buy out is more commonly known to eBay users as a Buy it now option that give buyers the opportunity to buy the advertised item at a specific price. For example, if you find a pair of shoes on CatholicAuctionsOnline and prefer to just buy the shoes rather than go through the process of an auction, you can buy those shoes directly as long as the selling organization provides "Buy Out" as an option.
When I win an item, how do I pay?
When the auction closes, CAO will contact you via email with a link to the auction site.
